Sin.

Why are Christian so obsessed with this concept? Why can no body be innocent? Don't bother to quote your book,

If you ask me, Yahweh seems pretty adolescent, with his entire LAW fetish. Essentially, he places the divine on a ledge so far away, Christians can't even see it, and expects them to aspire to join it. Maybe they should learn to stop feeling guilty for being born?

God made laws to protect us and to help us learn. Sin is not the issue. It is our relationship to God and our progress towards becoming like him. Consequently sin becomes important, because it draws us away from him. we are taught about sins, so we can avoid them. Putting aside my relationship with God, I am still happier when I follow his commandments, than when i try to blaze my own trail.

.That sounded a lot more like a statement than a question.

So let’s try this on for you. I am a sinner I know it in my heart and my conscious affirms this, but I don’t want to have to admit it because then, the only way I could achieve forgiveness would be to surrender my selfish will and confess that there is one greater than I. So I will hang on to this attitude because I am the center of my own universes risk my eternal salvation maybe even get an atta boy from a scoffer in here, and one day on bent Knee whether I want to or not confess that Christ is the lord before I am sentenced to hell.

It’s definitely a plan, but there is a much better plan of salvation.

Now that I got your attention I will address your statement for you.
Man is built with a spiritual compass, most people anyway. We all know when we sin. We feel guilt or remorse for our actions that hurt others and ourselves. Without sin there is no need for a savior. Christ died for our sins so we could experience that saving grace and have a fellow ship with God other wise we are not acceptable to enter into Gods presence (heaven). The Mosaic Law and its sacrifices were but in place to provide form of redemption for that age and to steer the Jews away from sinful practices. God has always wanted a close relationship with man. Man on the other hand because of his sinful nature always tries to avoid God because he feels guilty. Just like Adam and Eve in the garden tried hiding from God or like cockroaches try to hide when a light comes on out of fear.
Christians don’t feel guilty we accept the truth of our sinful nature. We don’t fear God because we know him and we don’t have to hide from him.
From the time you let Christ into your heart & ask forgiveness for you sin, and know that he died to pay your sin debt. You will have Christ living within you and that’s both comforting and reassuring

The scripture tell us that because Adam's sin then death passed upon all people because all have sinned. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Because all have sinned, The Lord Jesus Christ had to leave glory and come to earth as a man so He could die for our sins. When He was buried He took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. Believe and trust in that and you to can have eternal life. Is sin importan? Yes it is because if were not sinners then Christ would not have had to die. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

"Sin" just means whatever separates us from fullness of life. Would you rather be alive than dead? Then you'd rather be virtuous than sinful.
