My dog Cody peed on me like he was marking his territory. I know this is funny but is it normal? I was standing by my fireplace and proceeded to hike up his leg and peed on me?
He's very attached to me so I was just wondering if this was normal?

he's trying to show dominance over you, you need to let him know that's not ok

I have always owned females, but I've never had that problem, yet I can sympathize with you. Years ago I had a kitten , who in the middle of the night, decided that my leg was a litter box. I woke to this warm liquid running down my leg. It's funny now, but it wasn't too funny at the time.

Your dog was being dominant or trying to tell you to let him out. The former is most likely. YOU must be the pack leader. Does he pull on his leash? Nip? Eat before you do? Walk ahead of you on walks? Jump up?
These are all signs that your dog is dominant over you. Pick up Caesar's Way, or contact a behaviourist.

Unfortunately, yes.That is why I personally never get male dogs.Does he pee on the fireplace a lot?Is he old enough to be house broke?...Good luck.

It has never happened to me. It is probably normal, I would just try to keep him from making a habit of it.

normal is afunny word but i would tell him off for it asw he was letting you know he is boss not you you need to let him know your top dog good luck
