With someone you fancy, does absence make the heart grow fonder or out of sight out of mind?

I think it depends... Being apart though does give you a new perspective. If it's a case of 'out of sight out of mind' then there was probably nothing substantial there in the first place. But when absence makes the heart grow fonder, it can refresh your feeling and desires, and make you appreciate how special the other person is.
