That is irritating. Lots of people have an almost irresistable urge to "help" in that way. Best response when they come and offer the benefit of their wisdom is say either "thanks for that, I'll bear it in mind." or if you are not feeling so charitable "If I'd wanted to do it like that, I probably would have."

Sometimes both you and whoever else's " way " to something works just fine. Sometimes you gotta give in and let the other person be right. That is something I kind of learned today actually. :P

I had an argument with a friend who feels everything he says and does is RIGHT, no matter what. What he doesn't understand ( at least not completely yet ) is that it hurts other people when you INSIST on being right all the time.

Learn to give in sometimes. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Good luck and have a great night!

Every ones an expert until they get it wrong, people just like to interfere and think they know better than you, just be very polite and tell them if you need their help you will happily ask them for it.

People have there own way to do things, and most likely will not try another way until theirs have failed.

People like that drive me mad! I have no idea of how to get them to bugger off once they get started.
As to why they butt in: Prolly because they are convinced that somone snuffed it and left them chief expert. Now they want to share their egotistic expertise. Aarrugh!

There's more than one way to do things. My husband thinks the same as you, but I keep telling him that it doesn't matter how it gets done as long as it gets done.

Opinions are like backsides, everyone's got one, and everyone is convinced that theirs doesn't stink. Do the math.

Same reason you say that your way works.
