sure you can...and with hep b you can also acquire hep d....
hep A is caused by contaminated foods, where as hep B (dna virus) is is caused by having sex or sharing drugs with an infected person.
hcv-totally different from that of hepA or hepB. hcv is an RNA virus.

as for hepatitis D, you have to have hepatitis B, otherwise you could not acquire D.

just because you have one, doesn't mean you will have the other, but it can leave you more succeptable to getting illnesses.

have you also been tested for hcv?

as feeling the way you do, thats understandable. hepA will just have to work its way out of your system.

hepb you need to ask your doctor if you should try treatment.

hugs,
steph

It is possible .Keep in mind that hepatitis A is a rather benign condition that NEVER leads to chronic disease and the mortality rates are extremely low.Your main concern shoud be the infection with bepatitis B virus.Things would be worst if you had hepatitis B, plus hepatitis C or D.

They are two seperate viruses and yes you can be exposed to both.
Hep A or acute hepatitis will typically run it's course and then you will be immune.
Hep B or serum hepatitis can become chronic in aprox. 10% of the people who are exposed to it. If your chronic there are some treatment options and it is not something you want to wait on.
Your doctor can do the blood tests to determine whether or not your liver is in distress and if your a chronic carrier or if you have developed a natural immunity to the virus.
Both A&B are contagious so use precautions if your sexually active to protect those you may expose....neither are a nice gift!

Get help from a support group and your doctor, remember both of these diseases are contagious. You should be abstaining from sex right now, hep a is contagious through saliva, hep b through semen, blood etc.
