i have a 2 almost 3 year old boxer dog, i went out and earlier someone had made bacon int he oven so theres a pan with oil on it, the dog got into it and im pretty sure she licked some,
is she giogn to be okay?!

she will probably have diarrhea but other than that she should be fine. if she really ate alot of it call the vet. otherwise worry not

yes she should be. especially with the size of a boxer. she might have some loose stools because of the change in diet. and always just keep an eye on her. if she becomes lethargic and vomits more than a few times you should take her to the vet. it would be rare but not unheard of for a boxer to develop pancreatitis from bacon grease. but calm down, honestly she should be fine. just a small snack before dinner. just make sure to keep things up, and she will be fine. good luck. take a deep breath.

Your dog should be fine. If he drank/ate alot he may throw up or have diareah other than that he should be ok. Dog digestive systems tend to be very durable. I have my dogs on a raw diet, we've fed them 2 year old (frozen) venison and they were all fine.
However if he does have a severe reaction do not hesitate to go to the vet A.S.A.P
EDIT: As a matter of fact a pot of cooled oil fell off our stove last night and all 3 dogs had a hay day. None of them had a problem. :)

Your dog will be just fine, and she pobably enjoyed the "treat". I just hope you don't have any cruel, ignorant, animal haters for neighbors that would have mixed anything poisonous in with it! I'd watch her pretty close, and call a vet immediately if there is ANY chance of that having happened. As far as the bacon grease though,a lot of people even mix a little of it in with their dogs dry food (occasionally) as it's suppose to help with a shiney coat.

Was it hot oil? If it was just check the inside of her mouth for blistering. I'd also check the phone book for an emergency vet clinc's number, the don't charge to answer questions.
If it wasn't hot, i wouldn't worry about it. She'll be fine. I have friends that let their dog eat the same things they do and their dog is fine.

No problem at all..i have boxers and they love to get into any thing that smells yummy. Bacon grease will not hurt her..If she only eats dog food and not people food and she ate alot of bacon grease it might give her a bit a soft poop. lol nothing to worry about my dear!

Relax she'll be fine. Unless she has a bad liver nothing bad will happen to her. Also unless the pan was hot and she burned her toungue. She'll be fine...bacon grease is not terrible.

It will be fine my dog licks pans all the time. My dog eat scraps from what we eat and its greasy.
