some beers do, some dont. It seems to be optional. Why aren't the nutritional facts required to be on a beer or bottle of whisky?

All consumable items are required to have nutrition labels. The ATF however has stepped in and told the FDA that they will not permit nutrition labels on alcohol. The truth is, alcohol does have nutritios characteristics. A soda is more likely to make you fat than a beer.

The FDA decrees that only food is required to post nutritional contents. It doesn't consider beer or hard alcohol food.

I like to drink beer but I also like to drink liquor as well such as Puerto Rican rum but then again that could be a bias I have being as I'm part Puerto Rican. I also like vodka as well. But then again I'll drink whatever somebody offers me that's for free as well. Free liquor or even alcohol as well always tastes better lol.

Because basically there is none (nutritional value). For most beers and spirits though, you can look up info online re: calories and some other content.

Because the beer industry makes lots of political contributions.

And they have the best lobbyists in Washington.

Well the best except for the Gun industry.

Oh and the Tobacco industry.

Oh and the Defense industry.

Oh and ........ well they may not be the best ... but they are good.
