Okay, sweetie, don't worry. First, is the blood bright red? If it is, then it is likely from the tissue right around the opening, which is a good thing. If it is a dark red, then it may indicate that the blood is coming from higher up in the intestinal track. Bright red blood is usually from a small tear in the lining of the anus, called a fissure. Usually a fissure is caused by a hard stool. They usually heal in a couple of days and are not a big deal. It could also be a small hemorroid. If your bowel movements tend to be hard, make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating enough fiber, fruit and vegetables. If the blood is dark red or there is a lot of it, then make sure to see your doctor. Either way, you are 15, and it is unlikely to be anything serious. Good luck.

This is usually the precursor to what one day might become colon cancer.

A bloody stool is usually caused by constipation or hard stools. The end of your digestive tract is lined with thin blood vessels which for some people are easily teared. You will want to eat more vegetables and foods high in fiber (go grab a box of frosted mini-wheats) to help your digestive system out by keeping things from hardening too much.

Right now you don't have anything to worry about as colon cancer isn't very common for individuals under 30. It is the repeated tearing of these blood vessels that leads to cancer. If you can eat right, you can prevent it from happening altogether.

If the blood is bright red, it is probably bleeding from the hemorrhoid tissues. To keep the stool more soft, start each morning with a couple of cups of warm water. If you haven't eaten in 12 hours, the sphincters will not be closed to water, and the water will pass through to soften things. Go to the bathroom in 1-2 hours, to pass it while it is softened.

If the blood is red (fresh blood), it could be hemorrhoids. If the blood is dark, you may have more of a serious problem like internal bleeding. I doubt that it's cancer if you're 15. See a doctor and good luck, dear.

It may be as simple as you were to rough when you cleaned yourself. It could be hemorrhoids or a fissure. It may be cancer. I strongly suggest you see a physician. At least if it's something minor it will give you piece of mind.

I would say that for whatever reason it is, you have a blood vessel that har ruptured, be it from a hemorrhoid, or hard stools, or whatever. You need to see a dr. and have it cauterized. It isn't good to keep losing blood like that.

Please see a doctor. There is little value in guessing. It may be something simple or serious. You need a professional opinion that can be rendered by examination.
