@ monkeymanelvis: where on imdb.com does it say where the scenes for Hogwarts Lake were filmed? I've looked at the info for all of the films so far and I can't see that information anywhere.

The film was shot at loch shiel and the Glenfinnan viaduct The basis of Hogwarts is on the south ban of the loch. I,ve seen Hogwarts Express

It's Loch Shiel, Lochaber about 15 miles west of Fort William.

Its Loch Ness. Just where the Glenfinnan Viaduct runs beside it.

the answer above is correct,and only parts of hogwarts are cgi
some of it is real,i have been.
