I love that statement. Would anyone expect to move out of the U.S. and still have their "cultural identity" respected? I think not. If you move to a different country, you are required to adapt to that country's culture--unless you are coming into the U.S. Liberal hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.

Yes, but then that would deter them from coming here, and Bush doesn't want to do that because for all the controversy the illegals are causing, they are good for our economy, especially with the minimum wage being raised in most U.S. states recently, plus enacting legislation favorable to the Mexican immigrants will get Bush on the good side of the Dems in Congress.

In other words, Bush's time for playing hardball is over.

The Aussies did that also.... and, yes, I believe that President Bush should do that... along with fortifying our Boarders and no Amnesty for illegals.

Bush is an immature and unintelligent man who lacks intellectual curiosity, flexibility and the confidence to admit when he's wrong. I don't see that changing, and I'm afraid America will have to put up with him for two more years and hope for the best.

You know, I understand the Brits don't like Mr. Blair, but I do and I think he has it somewhat correct. Just don't think it will work.
