I would like to know if there is any aid I could receive from the Veterans Affairs. I am a returning Veteran just got out of the Army 6 months ago and I am not married to my future child's mother. Thank you for your answers.

No there isn't. YOU however can apply for disability compensation if you were ever injured while on active duty. An injury doesn't have to be a bullet wound, if you hurt your leg while running or if you currently have pains in your knees, back, feet, shoulders. Just about anything that is possibly hurting today may be because of the military.
If you have nightmares of Iraq or if you know of somebody that was killed even if they were not in combat and have survivors guilt, that could be possibly PTSD and you need to be treated.
You would get additional compensation if you get rated above 30% by the VA and if you get 100%, your dependents do get medical care from the VA under CHAMPVA.
Being 100% disabled doesn't mean that you are a bed ridden vegatable. I am 100% disabled and can still walk and get around, but the extend of my disabilites (and I mean all of them added together) are greater than 100%. I receive additional compensation and benefits for my spouse and children because of the disabilities.
Good luck and file your claim. Look at your medical records and find every injury and chronic (happening more than one or two times) illness (sinus infections, STD's, eczema and stuff like that). They are all compensatable and you should file a claim for every single illness or injury.

i doubt it very much as to be honest even if you was still in the military then she would be entitled to nothing would she........at the very most after DNA etc you could have the child put on your page two but as you are now out of the mil then its a moot point.

what exactly do you expect them to do for you or the child???are you getting tricare for life !!! I would think not as my husband after 20+ years is the only one that gets it we pay out the wazoo for me and the kids [still MUCH cheaper than any place else tho]

regards and please dont bank on the mil bailing you out of this situation...........
