go to an animal rescue place but there will usaly be a set donation of at least £ 25 if you cant afford to buy the cat are you sure you will be able to house the cat feed it are you sure you have enoguh money for the vet bills for insurance . i have found some kittens / cats all different ages free to good home on this site http://www.adtrader.co.uk/classhome.php?class_id=179&trader_id=9001&search_words=kitten
the site for todays listings of kittens and cats is http://www.adtrader.co.uk/classhome.php?trader_id=9001&class_id=179&prevpage=4&page_id=5&search_words=kitten&order_by=&forsale_wanted= i have had a look and most of them are todays listings and are £25 or less which is cheap for a cat

Try your local RSPCA shelter or failing that Gumtree.co.uk
they have a pets section and some are 'free to good home' as the owners are moving, dont have time for the animal due towork and other such reasons. We adopted our two baby girl ratties through an ad on there.

Ask around. Some grocery stores will post things like this: Free to a good home. Some newspapers will as well. You might also check with a vet--sometimes they know of people that had kittens.

There will usually be a cat rescue centre very near where you live. Your council will have details, and so will the Charity Commission, as most are registered charities. They will give you a cat for free provided you can convince them you can provide a good home for it.

You can get free cats from the Cats protection League but they ask for a donation for its previous care and injections. They suggest you pay £35.00. If you have the balls to say no you don't want to pay i don't think they can make you as it is a donation not a fee.

I wasn't brave enough to say no.

A truely free cat is called a feral or wild cat all the others are just slaves to who ever feeds them.

Any animal shelter or any stray cat... If you can't find one for free in the UK, rescue one in Greece and get it back with you, we have thousands. Come ghere for holidays and go back with a kitty! Contact www.stray.gr if you want, they can help. Or check ads, people might want to rehome a cat if they can't have it any nore for some reason.

You dont really get for free, RSPCA charge a fee to cover jabs, microchipping etc & other animal charities expect a donation. If you dont donate they dont have the cash to help other animals so it is only fair really. Would rather pay an animal charity a reasonable sum than pay an individual making a profit from their animal. Also, if you cant afford to pay a donation then you cant afford an animal

Most animal shelters charge a fee, but your pet comes home with shots up to date and spayed or neutered if its old enough. Other than that, try calling some local veterinarians. They may have some customers looking for homes for their pets.

it depends what you are looking for really, if you want a pedigree cat, then most probably you will have to pay for them, but if you are looking for a rescue cat that you can give a good home to then you should pop along to your nearest pet rescue centre, and choose a cat from there, they should have full vaccination records, and details as to whether the cat is timid, aggressive/good with with children etc....good luck!
