Braces in your teeth, you mean?.
I'm not 11-14, i'm much more older...uuuffff, but i did have braces for 8 years, and honey, at first they do hurt, but later you get used to them. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
Eat at the begining just soft food. You could lose a teeth.

The actual procedure of putting the brackets and wires on does not hurt at all. Once they put everything together, you will just feel alot of pressure on your teeth and the metals will feel awkward in your mouth. But as time passes by, you really get used to it, and the soreness lasts for only a few days. In the end, it'll all be worth it. Don't worry too much.

Nope, doesn't hurt at all. Now, some braces might have some sharp edges and you can cut your tongue if you have a habit of running your tongue over your teeth like I do. In that case, better tell your mom or dad to take you to the dentist so he can file it down.
The only really "bad" thing about braces is that you look like a complete goof. It's worth it, though!

*smiles and flashes teal braces*
at first, they feel uncomfterble...but after a few days you will get used to it. also, every appointment, when they "tighten" the braces, it will feel a bit painfull. but with some ivepophen or something, you should feel better...
sure...im not that age, im 16, but after having them for three years...it counts.
oh, and some more advice: wear the rubber bands. seriously. it will make the whole thing quicker. I could have had my braces off like, a month or two ago, but I wasnt wearing my rubber bands. so wear them!!!

They don't usually hurt so much as feel uncomfortable especially after they've been adjusted. The idea of braces is to apply enough pressure to slowly alter the position of your teeth. You will trade a little discomfort now for nicer teeth later. It will be fine, and if you feel they are unacceptably uncomfortable tell your Orthodontist, he/she is there to help.

Yes, they hurt. I will not lie to you. But, no pain, no glory. It will be worth it. Keep some asprin on hand and remember to pack soft foods for lunch for the next couple weeks. You will get through it. I've had braces, head gear, rubber bands and retainers, and now I always hear how beautiful my smile is. Don't sweat it, you will get through it.

getting them put on no, in general the only pain you will ever feel is your teeth moving which is going to happen with retainer or braces, but braces themselves dont hurt

they don't hurt at all, they might feel kind of funny the first few like 3 days but then you get use to it, just take some pain reliever if it hurts too much but i doubt they will.
