No, that is not a good father. A good father is someone with integrity, that his children and their friends will look up to. A good father will also be a good provider....putting clothes on the backs of the FAMILY, and food on the table, AND health insurance for the family. If your man is dishonest and untrustworthy, then you need to dump him like a bad habit. You don't want your children learning by his example. Any man can be a sperm donor, but only a special man can be a daddy. Remember, now you just can't think about yourself.....you've got to consider the children too....and the enviornment that they live and grow in. Best of luck to you.

What did he do to make you think he is dishonest and untrustworthy? If he really is than he is setting a bad example to your kids and making you unhappy which is also hard on your kids. A good a father is one that is involved with the kids on a daily basis and has respect for their mother and shows it in front of them. Your relationship has a great effect on your kids. If it is not working out you would be better off seperating....as it is no good to show your children what it is like to live unhappy.
Good luck with everything

Personally, I would probably say if he's all that, then, NO. A kid picks up on things. Thats not good traits to have around them. Teaching them to be dishonest & untrustworthy is just no good.
To me, a good father should be kind, caring, loving, hardworking and true & a good provider.
Not too many like that around anymore...

He lacks two of the disciplines that are required for good parenting. A man should be understanding, open-minded and fair. He needs to be there for his kids and put them above all else.
If he is dishonest and untrustworthy, then, it will eventually come to light as the kids get older.

well is he dishonest and untrustworthy to you or your shild. if he is there for the child and has every intention of doing good for the child and is honest and trustworthy to the child then he is a good father. in many cases that i've heard its mainly that he's untrustworthy to the mother of the child so tthe mother considers im a bad father, but if he is there for the child no matter what then theres nothing to it.

Compassion combined with discipline makes a good father.
No, if he is dishonest and untrustworthy, his child will pick up on those bad habits.

I'd say no, but if the man can be gentle and caring then maybe just maybe he's balanced. But since he is dishonest he could lie to his own kid and that could be a huge problem. NO!

no that does not make him a good father. He needs to be loving, caring, patient, has a sense of humor, a big heart, trustworthy, honest with his wife/gf and the kids. God Bless and Be Safe :)
