What is so confusing? She doesn't want to be with you, so she laid the lame "I just want to be friends" excuse on you. Move on.

Ask her the all important question, Why?

No seriously, dont give up till you have an answer. Im not gonna give you ideas here, seriously, with as many insane women ive meet over the years (including the one sleeping not 5 feet from me) the first answer to a situation like this is always cover for something else.

Ah hell with it, i'll give you some ideas. If she really was crazy about you, and genuine about it, it could be shes going through something she doesn't want to drag you into. Family or otherwise. Its up to you if you want to push into that type of business, it can be messy, but sometimes she'll need the support.

It could be she thought you two were moving too fast, in which case, let her dictate it a bit (if you can) dont let it become 'true friends' in which case, it aint ever gonna happen till your like 50 years old ;)

She could be toying with you, as so many women do, to see how much you like her. I hate it, but girls do that. Re-assure her, slow it down a bit, but dont put it on the back burner, the fire will die out.

Find out why, talk to her. It sounds simple, but its hard. Try to figure out whats going on inside her head. Talking is the best way.

She doesn't feel the same way about you, plain and simple. Don't over look it. She was into you. Now she isn't- maybe because something better came along, or maybe you said/did something that was very unattractive. It happens... you start to get to know someone and find out they're really not what you like... I broke up with my ex, who was always more of a friend anyway, but I wasn't physically attracted to him anymore, and I found out just how boring and cheap he was... we were better off as friends- and after he got over the break up, we are now friends!! So if she's not into you, she's not into you- she broke up with you- thats all you really need to know.

Well I kinda sorta did that recently and my reason for it was because I didn't know the guy hardly at all and I wasn't really sure whether I liked him or not although at first I told everybody I did, and then some people jumped at me and were all like, "Hey yall are going out oh my gosh!" and it really freaked me out. Just give her some time and let her be friends, she'll make up her mind eventually.

To be honest with you stuff like that happens cause she likes someone else...If you really like her I would close the door to her there are more fish in the sea...You want one that is honest to you and truly cares about you..Chin up tho and don't waste your time with the wrong one when the right one is waiting for you..

She is seeing or is interested in seeing someone else and wants to keep you on the back burner until she finds out what is going to happen with the other relationship.

Don't worry you'll find someone better.

sometimes people are just like that.....they want you untill they get you! its something in human nature i think, a mixture of adventure, greed, and being nasty!

Or maybe she just thought you were different than you turned out to be
