My shih tzu is pregnant by possibly 1 of 3 neighbor dogs who came into our yard, since we do have a fence...and not sure the breed - golden retriever, husky or small mutt. Wondering the cost so I am prepared incase it comes to that.

I had a small Staff. that had to have a C section it cost me $ 700.00 that was 5 years ago in Ill.

I think you should be a bit worried about what breed mated with her. I'd hope it was the small mutt. If it was a Golden or Husky, there could be a LOT of complications while giving birth.

It depends on where you are located (vet services are higher in large cities), but it cost me $600 to have a planned c-section for my French Bulldog. If it is an emergency it will probably be double.
You need to talk to the vet ASAP, because if it was from the larger dogs the pregnancy could kill her.

I would figure on $700-$1000 depending on whether it is during hours, after-hours or at an emergency clinic.

Get her to a vet. Get her there immediately! If she is pregnant by any of the three, she should get have the pregnancy terminated and get spayed! It would be the safest thing for your pup!
