i live with my boyfriend and work full time and i have two children not by him can i still claim the earned income credit on my taxes?

it depens on how much you made, your boyfriends income doesn't count.

Living with the boyfriend who is not a relative of the children has no impact on your tax return unless he claims you as a dependent. If he claims you as a dependent then you cannot claim your children or get any credits.

For each child, I would need to know

1. Did the child live with you more than six months in 2006?
2. Did the child live with you more than they lived with the other parent?
3. Did the child not pay for over half of his own support?
4. Are you not claimed as a dependent on anyone else's return?

All answers have to be yes. If yes, then you may be eligible for the EIC. There is an interview you can do on the IRS website which is more thorough than the questions above. After you do the interview you will know if you are eligible.
