IMO Pot roast is the best roast. It falls apart when done. I'm just not a very big pork person--I'm sure if done correctly, the pork roast could be just as well as pot but not my favorite.

A good pot roast is the winner. However a nice standing rib pork roast is very good.

I prefer a good pot roast of beef. Rump roast with red potaotes and onions and au jus. That really does not matter much unless this is an invite. (In that case I really prefer roast turkey). The real question is what do you and your son like better.

I think a pork roast is better, to me its more tender than beef. Your son may want a Pizza and soda from CHUCK E CHEESE instead. You didn't say what his age was. Kids don't care much for meat. My kids would favor for the Pizza any time.

pork roast by far..

season it with just some basic seasonings and bake in the oven or in the slow cooker until it is fork tender

i like to add 1/2 cup strong black coffee to it for tenderizing
garlic powder
onion,
chicken AND beef bullion cubes (crushed)
1 tbsp orange marmalade (YUM!)
1/4 cup italian dressing
salt and pepper to taste

this is a delicious marinade- or you can just put the meat in and cover it with this mixture before cooking... or do both!

this is my favorite pork roast (and chicken and turkey) recipe no matter how i cook it

I live in Nebraska...where we have the best meat around....both are very very good but I don't think anything can beat a good beef pot roast!!! And that comes from someone who use to raise hogs.

Either one as long as they are cooked "Low and Slow" to where the meat just falls off the bone.I prefer a pork shoulder roast .You can slice it for dinner ,you can pull it apart, put barb que sauce on it and make sandwiches,or my Fav. make Tacos with it(preferably with Jack Cheese and Green Tomatillo salsa.
