Okay, well like when im with my friends and we put on boxing gloves and what not, i usually win or just do really good in a fight.
But when it comes to when im about to fight, like for real,
i get this real scared feeling, but im really not.
And i feel like if i hit that person its not going to be hard...at all!
I always have dreams where when i hit someone, its like a peck...
i dunno maybe thats why, but how can i get rid of this feeling.
Because when it comes to the point
where i have to defend myself,
i don't want to be scared, or at lest feel scared, out of my wits.

Isn't Adrenaline supposed to get you hyped up and keep going?
I just get super nevous, and i see no way how i can use it to fight.
If that is adrenaline then i really don't want it, because if i didn't have that feeling i know i could kick the crap out of them.

Could be nerves or just worry about how you're going to do. Try some breathing exercises, that usually gets rid on anxiety. Or just think positive, find your 'happy place (sounds crap i know) to take your mind of things and then get psyched up and go out and kick a.s.s!

I,ve got this answer I use to box and I use to street fight now there is a fear in both cases of the unknowen so you are going to have some reservations about fighting . Just befor they would tell me it was time to fight I would have these fantum injures like my shoulder would start hurting or my legs would get stiff something eveytime but after I go into the ring it went away and I felt alive belive it or not I could see better feel everything more intently and a lot of spring in my body now I was real young then and I did not know alot about the mind and body everyone is different I had to learn how to control it or I could have never got into the ring I knew I was in shape I trained hard I did everything I could do to get ready and Iknew I was in shape some people called it adrenaline sure you have adrenaline running through you when your about to fight but if you can,t control it you will lose just like fear you must concor it or it will concour you befor you get into the ring now on street fighting the big differance is your mad befor you fight and when you box your not mad at all so now you got something else going on in your body adrealine, fear and anger you are a fighting machine when all of these things are going on in you nothing short of a bullit can stop you so calm your self befor you fight just know your power is there you,ve trained for this moment I hope this helps you because I know how you feel it,s OK to feel this way just control it good luck

I had (or have) the same exact problem. I've had the same dream too, doesn't it make you feel helpless? Over time I realized that I felt like this because I expect too much of myself when it comes to fighting. It's probably the same with you too. The only way to fix this is to clear your mind. Of course, don't completely clear your mind to the point where you're not thinking at all. Have your mind clear and at the same time focused on what you're doing. Relax and stop being so tense. Whether this may sound weird to you or not, have fun and enjoy the fight. Trust me, this will help a lot, take it from someone with a little bit of experience in this.

Don't be scared, think of the fight as a game, you're out to win. When you finally do fight remember, always pivot when you punch, if your right handed, keep your right foot behind you at shoulder distance, then pivot on the toes, moving your body to the right with the right straight. Pivoting will put your entire body into the punch, therefore creating a more powerful punch. Follow that with a left, but come back from your right and then pivot to your left with the movement of the punch. Throwing your punch's this way will improve your power and also your confidence, try these moves on a heavy bag, if you have one, do this until you master the movement. Good luck, and many victorious wins for you. Remember to always bring yor fist's back up to the side of your face after throwing the punch to avoid being hit.

Dont worry. Your just nervous because you feel you wanna do good and impress who ever is there. Theres nothing wrong with that. The best athletes in all sports get nervous. Im sure after the first punch you throw you'll be okay.

This is adrenaline kicking into your system, it gives you a crazy amount of energy and you have to make the concious desicion to either put this energy into fighting or onto getting the hell out of there. After spending a lot of time in martial arts, you will slowly have better control of this and make it work greatly in your favour. Everyone gets it to one degree or another, but once you get the mental clarity and control your adrenaline and don't let it control you, it makes the fight extremely hard to lose.

yea, this happens 2 me sumtimes too, what i do is i think about winning and think about what its gonna be like after the fight, ALWAYS THINK AFTER THE FIGHT! that way it will motivate you to win, i know that feeling you get when your trainer shouts out to cover your left eye or sumtin, its realy frustrating to do and somtimes gets your mind off what your oppenent is thinkin..
what i do is scare tatics, i show and make it obvious that i hav great power by doing big slow swing's and move into the oppenent without fear, having fear against an oppenent is like having 50% of your boxing skill out of play, same way with mike tyson, every1 was scared to death of him but the only man with no fear against tyson was buster douglas (who was the first man ever to beat tyson)
Always remmember, your oppenent is always as scared as you comming to a fight...just think that everytime you come out, dont think as your opppenent as some evil demon or sumtin, realize that he is onli human like you, and can also get scared of your punches
HOPE YOU WELL IN THE FUTURE KID!!
