I'm a student, no dependents.
Before anytihng was taken out, I made $5,761.70 this year. $156.66 went to Federal W/H, $357.22 went to FICA, $83.54 went to Medicare, and $81.62 went to SIT, making a total of $679.04. About how much should I expect to get back?

If your parents can claim you as a dependent, then you'll have to pay some federal tax but will get most of what was withheld back. If your parents can't claim you, you'll get back the whole 156.66 that was withheld.

If you are 24 or older, or if you didn't live with your parents for over half of 2006, then they would not be able to claim you.

You should get some of your Federal and State taxes back, forget about the other taxes.

Probably in the vicinity of $360.You have to make over $7500 before you actually have to start paying out real income tax.
