Can I spike my own hair? How do I do it?

Maybe, maybe not. Some people's hair grows downward and can't be spiked.

1. It has to be cut short enough to stand up, and maybe texturized to help it stand if too soft.

2. Stiffening product as others mentioned.

That's easy. My brother dose it all the time. First get your self
a strong hair gel . Squeeze it both of your hands. Rub it all over your hair. Pick up a 1 inch or a 4 inches piece of hair . Stand up and put hair gel. Or just keep your hair pulling up and add more hair gel . Also, try pulling back your hair to form spikes from the first time you put hair gel. That's the way my brother dose it.

Yes you can go to the supermarket or chemist and buy a hairwax rub in it your hands then apply to your hair by pulling bits of hair forming them into a spike shape if you use a strong wax it should hold for the day hope i was some help to you.

The best thing to use is a product called FX Spiking Glue. You can get it at any Walgreens. Its the best!

first get a strong/long lasting hair gel then just put gel on your hands run it through your hair then you can move your hair the way you wan it then it you want even more hold hair spray it with an aerosol can

with gel, just put water on your hair, and some gel in your hands and then just run your fingers through your hair, and with a comb you style it.
