By far, it's New York. You can still find affordable housing, although it is very difficult to do.

Aside from that, there are so many more things to do in New York than in Las Vegas. It is a 24-hour city, and one of the most diverse cities in the world. You can meet people from everywhere and experience anything you want in New York.

Depends on what's important to you. If you are into gambling, you might prefer Las Vegas. There is less humidity in Las Vegas, and probably milder winters. On the other hand, it isn't as green. In fact it is in the desert. Las Vegas is probably less expensive. If you have a lot of money, you might want to go for New York. But, if you have a lot of money, just visit both cities for a few months and make your own decision! If you are a working class, low-brow person with sleazy tastes (like me), go for Vegas.

Las Vegas. Now the low middle class population is having tough times affording NYC rents.
