Since you're a beginner, I'd say just stick w/ the whey and creatine for now. Also opt for some branch chain amino acids. They help you w/ recovery time..the best one is Xtend by Scivation.

I don't recommend weight loss products as they aren't much but caffeine and green tea.

These training supplements won't do much for you if you are not combining it w/ a healthy diet. I recommend you go to www.bodybuilding.com and go into their supersite. They've got tons of articles for beginners.

For starters, that's about all you need... focus on getting enough protien - Designer Whey is the easiest to drink (many of them are just nasty, pasty tasting) and will help you get sufficient protein to handle your body's new requirements.

Creatine is good, but follow the label carefully. It can be a nasty mother if you abuse it or if you're not ready / not old enough for it.

Amino Acids will help your joints recover - otherwise you'll find your rotator cuffs and knees will be dying by the time your bench passes twice your body weight and your squat exceeds about 350 pounds.

Diet is critical... this is where you'll get a lot of your protein, some essential fats, the carbs to keep you going, etc. Chicken breasts can be grilled 5 pounds at a time and refrigerated to last up to a week. Fish is always a good choice. Red meats are good in the bulking up stage, but you've got to cut them out when you want to drop body fat. Vegetables are a good choice. Salads will make you feel full, though there's not much to them. Drop the dairy. Skip most fruits because of the high sugar content.

There's a whole lot of other stuff in the health food store - skip it. Until you've been lifting consistently for 3-5 years, it is a waste of your money and time.

I accept as true with Bob P. i will pose the question: Are you nonetheless going to take supplementations and have all that muscular tissues once you initiate getting older? certainly you do not practice interior the martial arts to easily use them whilst your physique is at its top? Even "tricky" varieties like Karate do not remember purely on muscular tissues... that's issues like conditioned reflexes and neurokinetic means that enable skillability interior the martial arts. additionally, while you're actually not a expert or in any different case understanding for 4-6 hours popular, you're actually not getting a important purchase out of your supplementations, and it in all probability isn't mandatory somewhat than purely eating healthful. i think of so besides.

met-rx is actually pretty decent tasting and worked really well. I used the meal supplement bars and the powder shake which is also a meal supplement. I found that right after a good intense workout was the best time to drink or eat the bars to avoid have a quick un-healthy snack. Also they contain amounts of creatin and other supplements to aid in muscle building.

I was going to suggest good Whey Protein and Creatine to you but you've already got that. Do research your strengths though as not all are the same and some are better than others.

Generally the "building" supplements work better than the "stripping" supplements. For fat burning there is nothing better than cardiovascular exercise.

Mix it up between aerobic cardio (at manageable pace but for at least 30 minutes) to build endurance and then also do anaerobic intervals (speed intervals) where you go flat out with recoveries in between to build stamina.

Both burn fat in different ways. If you mix it up you keep shocking the body so it can never get used to what you're doing and it keeps your basal metabolic rate up even when resting.

If you really want to burn fat there is nothing better than running. 100 calories per mile!!

For good supplements check MaxiMuscle http://www.maximuscle.com/home?tc=Googsupplementalone&mc=SEARCHENGINE&gclid=CIif88v54IkCFQ1MZwodEUk2dw

Their protein Promax is very good. Its also got some Chromium and Glutamine in it.

Keep it up!!!

hey peter,
dont push the things man .... its only 3 months u have started your gym so definately u r not undergoing a body building hardcore trainning ... man give a break atleast for 6 - 7 months ... just do your regular stuff .... let your body knows that u r going to gym ,,,, u know from the very early stage if u put yourself into supplements ... that will make u a sort of 'depend' on them .. dont do that now ......
i started my gym in way back summers of 2001... i did my regular trainning as per the coach till the end of decemeber 2002 ... (its 1 year) i remember my weight was 65 when i started (age - 18.5 years) till 2002 i was 76 ... then only i switched to body building .... i got a proffesional trainning for 8 months .. and stood first in university body building championship .....(october - 2003) at this time my weight was 87.5 kgs .... and to be very frank i took whey ..as its really good in proteins ... but my focus was my workout and my diet ... remember your workout is only 40% of work ...your diet plays another 40% and rest 20% is rest .... massage ... cardio .... so i advise you to give atleast 6 months as a whole .... concentrate on your workout and diet ....
Regards,
and Best of luck ...

It`s to early for you to take any supplements. You should combine gym with some aerobic activities (like running) if you want to lose weight. It`s extremely unhealthy to use any supplements except creatin and protein (and they are good for gaining weight). So I recommend more practice in gym and aerobic activities because that is best for your heart. One thing more,if you train only in the gym, you`ll be inflexible.
