its like my Metabolism has slowed down to a stop i walk 160mins a day to take my daughter to nursery school i then do housework 3 mornings a week and walk to places with my second daughter. I eat a healthy breakfast. I usually have a jacket potatoe with beans and cheese for lunch. I then have tea round 5.30 which is usually pasta chicken or something quick and easy we have chips upto 3 times a week.

I have the same problem. I am 25, never have had children but I have found that I am gaining weight for no reason. I went on a diet for month, ran a mile a day and ate nothing but salad but still didn't lose a lb. I was told that if you eat 5 - 6 small meals a day it will speed up your metabolism. I haven't tried it yet because my life style doesn't allow me to have time to.

Maybe the reason why you aren't losing weight is because you have potatoes w/ cheese. Cheese is fattening. I don't know what a jacket potato is but I'd keep it narrowed down to sweet potatoes and yams only. Pasta is a no no unless it's whole wheat.

If you only eat breakfast and tea and pasta w/ chicken, that could also be why you're not losing weight.

Most women find that they lose a lot more weight when they up their calories. That being said, you need to eat at least 5 -6 small healthy meals a day. You don't need to take pills to speed up your metabolism. Simply eating more often and smaller healthy meals will speed up your metabolism for you!

The depo injection stuffed up my steady weight for a while after I stopped it. Exercise does help keep your metabolism up tho. If its any help at all I didnt diet but ate healthily & may weight gradually came back to almost normal. The weight gain was hormonal due to jab so dieting wouldnt really have helped, when the hormones settled down my weight did to. It probably took about a year.Hope this reassures you that the weight doesnt need to stay forever

First read up on the subject. What I would do is try to lead a less stress full life, if you are already eating right. For example just point out beautiful things to your daughter on the way to school, that is if you don't already do it. Remember if you focus on healthy to much it becomes stressful, for you and the people around. It can be beautiful when you do it naturally though.

not really, only things like caffeine which don't work for very long. try to really kick start your weight loss by trying to stick to a maximum of 200 cals for breakfast, 200 cals for lunch and 600 cals for dinner (you'll be surprised how many calories are in things.) you can also have 200 cals worth of snacks. i usually have a slice of toast and a light cereal bar for breakfast, a soup (no bread) for lunch and then a normal (but small portion) dinner. your jacket potato, though seeming healthy, may contain 500 or so calories. i have done this for 3 weeks and lost 8lbs. its difficult at first, but your stomach shrinks or something, cuz u get used to it after 3 days or so, and you actually find it hard to eat more.

There are several things that cause a temporary metabolic increase. Try chilie peppers - these increase your metabolic rate by around 2 to 3% for about an hour, you only need a small quantity for this effect.

good ways to speed it up are... first walk a few laps to warm up... then sprint fast for about 20 seconds... walk again.. sprint fast for 20 seconds... do this for about 15 min. 4 times a week... also eat 4-6 small meals a day.. high protein.. low fat.. some carbs.. and fiber is good.. fruits vegetables.. this all together should make difference.

It looks to me like you are not eating enough AND you choose the wrong foods (too many carbs, too high glycaemic index, not enough proteins).

Go low fat, moderately low carbs (mainly eat the ones with high glycaemic index) and eat more proteins.

Plus, do cardio (run at least 30 min every day at 5mph), weight training twice a week and pilates.

After dropping off yr daughter, start training yrself to jog. Start slow, then pick up the pace weeks later. Yr body already condition itself to this regular lifestyle so you need to boost up more physical exersice.

a doctor once told me to very very very quickly drink down 32 oz of water, some how it notifies the liver and etc, i have told this to many of people and it works, and the pills and everything are harmful and a waste of money , you could also have a thyroid problem, also you are eating alot of carbs, if you cut back on them , then it may help also,

i wish you the best!!!
