You can take an over the counter antihistamine like Claritin to suppress the histamine production inside your body, and apply a topical creme containing hydrocortisone like Cortaid on your skin.
Try to avoid scratching as it will only stimulate more histamine production and make you itchier. Good luck!

Fleas bite and their saliva can be very irritating. I suggest your friend set off a flea bomb, bath the dog regularly and get a flea/egg killing ointment from the vet. You can get some over the counter salves to relieve the itching. Keep away from your friend's house until she is flea free. Some folks (and animals) are very allergic to flea bites.

Why are you bleeding? Is it from over-scratching? If so put on oven-mitts to stop scratching. If it is just too freakishly itchy, try lotion, or Benadryl. I would also talk to your doctor ASAP.

take 2 Benedryl! forget the cream...you sound like you need the pill. If you want cream...dont use Benedryl cream and take the Benedryl orally...thats a no no. Try Aveeno Bath oil..maybe that will help sooth it.

Neem leaf tincture. You can get it at any good herb store. You may also want to try some Benedryl, preferably by mouth.

If you take a good anti-histamine and use a cortisone cream on the itchy spots you should do fine.
