I have been with my girlfriend for 9 months(we are friends for 1 year), everything has been going smoothly until she recently told me that she is not over her past relationship(3 months). I met her about one month after it broke off. She asked me for some time to clear her mind, I let her know how much I love and care for her. I have also told her I see a great future with us and have spoke about marriage. Now I am so confused, what do I do?

Not much you can do but wait for her to come around. Just what does she mean by 'time"? Does she want to see other guys? If so this is a red flag for you and I would let her go. If she only wants to cool things for a short time and you feel you can afford the wait then do so and see how it goes. But don't get caught in the trap of waiting and seeing for too long. Some girls like to keep guys on a string just until something better comes along. I think if it were me I would be asking for more clarification especially of marriage is on you mind. Is it on hers as well?

Sometimes it takes a while to get over an ex and some people don't want to get involved with someone until they do. At least she told you. If she asked for time, give her time. Just let her know you will be there for her if she needs you.

Take her advice and give her some breathing space. Date other girls and let her have time to think things out and if she really cares for you she will let you know in her own way.

You done scared her off..Just hang back and don't bring up all that other crap again anytime soon. give her a couple of days to recover then, call and ask her out. Hopefully she isn't in full retreat mode. In which case you SCREWED....

Giver her some breathing room. If it was meant to be, she'll come back to you. If it wasn't, then you'll be saved even more heartbreak if you were still dating after two years and she breaks it off.

there is nothing you can do, she needs time to "heal" the best thing you can do is be patient. If you really care about her you are going to have to wait.
