It actually puts nicotine in your body,thats why there are 3 different steps,step 1 has the strongest,then step 2 alittle less,then 3 very little nicotine,you wont crave nicotine after that because you gradually got less and less of it,and you dont get all the other chemicals or smoke in your lungs while on it which is a plus.

Richie made me laff.The nicotine patches are useless as they are just as addictive as fags and really hard to give up as you suffer withdrawel symptoms from them just as much as ciggies.The only way is cold turkey which i am doing with right now.4 times i tried to quit with the patches and gum and failed.
