I have olive green carpet, and polar white walls, although they have been darkened due to living in it for 8 years, I only want to paint one wall, I have a lot of wood funiture, and a lot of junk heh, the wall in question is the wall directly behind my bed, and in front of my door. (As soon as you walk in, my dresser is to the left, and my computer table is to the right, with my bed directly ahead)

I suggest an earthtone, neutral color with that color carpet. You can make it darker, since it will only be 1 wall... make it a little more dramatic!! good luck!!

I think you should go with a light green paint so that it will soften the olive green carpet and be a mid color to go with the other white walls. It will tie in with the carpet yet still keep the room bright.

Try going to an artist's supply store. Find what is known as a color wheel. Buy it. This will show you all the triadic colors, the colors which complement each other, etc. Olive? Perhaps a change there would be good too. What an opportunity! Use your imagination and have FUN.

When I was trying to find the right color to paint my room I grabbed all the samples, taped them on my wall and slowly crossed them off. It took me a month to find the right color but it was worth it :)

Don't be afraid to experiment, or be adventurous. I just painted my small bathroom in a chocolate-brown colour. With an olive coloured carpet, I think that could be very interesting in your room.

Why only one wall???? What color is your bedding? What color stain is on the dresser/headboard, etc?? I'll check back and see if you post answers to fill in the gaps.

Be creative, my room has black walls with glow in the dark stars on it. If anything, just splash some colors on the walls to your liking.

Have fun!!
