I would not go and buy a calculator for this There are a bunch of free online converters where you type in your measurements and they do the math.
I typed in your request in a flooring calculator and it came back as follows:
144 square feet
16 square yards
Then at Convert-me.com
I asked for 144 Square feet to become Square meters
13.38 Square meters

multiply the 12 by 12, giving you 144 sq ft. Then multiply the 144 by 0.0929 to change it to sq metres. This gives 13.3776 . You can access all sorts of conversion tables at
the tipsbank.com

Just for info... for your purposes.. there are" 3ft 3 and a bit inches" to one metre. so divide 12 by 3.3 and square the result . Do your own working out. I will check back later .

1 square meter = 10.763 911 square feet Therefore 144 square feet would be 144 / 10.763911 which equals 13.378 square meters. Hope I helped Icobes Edit: To the person below me who said I was wrong, then you would also be wrong because your answer is the exact same as mine and mine is actually more accurate because mine is to a greater decimal point.

You go to Home Depot and they sell a calculator that you put the size of the room and it converts it to whatever you will need to buy. Whether it be paint, wallpaper, flooring, etc. It does any amount or type of conversion.
It only costs around $20+
