It all depends on where you are finding these women.

Sounds like a classic case of women mistaking your kindness for weakness. I say just date around until you find a woman to your liking. Also, once you realize that a lady you are dating is "dominating" you, you need to break it off because that is what you DON'T want.
Change where you're looking too. Try church or an activities group where there are women into the same values and things you're into.
I am a 35 year old female and have just started to come out of my shell with dating.

Well, I promise they (we) are out there.
Try signing up for some classes in writing or poetry at the local U. Also cooking or other places where women may hang out. Church is another good place. Also don't be afraid to approach women in grocery stores and other places and ask for help, you just never know who you may meet. Try making friends with women, sweetheart. Even if they aren't for you they may have a sister or a friend...
Stay away from the bars and the singles sites. Vultures are waiting there for guys like you and you won't be happy with the ones you find (me either).
I think the point is to meet as many people as possible and in the right places. make friends, have fun. And good luck. You and I are probably far apart but on the same bumpy road.

I've been in your shoes. You can be supportive and understanding without being a doormat. Some things I'm very careful about are: when I feel the girl wants me to make a decision, I make it. If there's an issue that I feel I shouldn't budge on, I explain my position and stand by it. Communication is often the element that can make or break a relationship. If you feel you are being trampled on, communicate it in a respectful yet firm nature. Be assertive, be calm, and continue being a nice guy. You will certainly find the girl that best compliments your personality and needs.

I keep hearing that meeting on the Internet is the way to go. I met my husband through yahoo personals. I ignored the guys that I had nothing in common with, and the ones that weren't interested in the same things. My husband and I are so completely compatible.
I was watching Dr. Phil, and he was talking about Match.com, I think, and he said that it's better than meeting in a bar (for example), because you don't get to go up to the person in a (bar) and ask them these things. You actually have to waste a lot more time on ones that wouldn't be compatible with you. Hope this helps.

You're not asking too much. You want to share the goodies so to speak! LOL. Just be yourself, cheerful, positive, charming and adorable, but stand your grounds as far as mutual respect is concerned. You do not want a life of slavery and make it clear.
She will respect you for that. If not, find another one who will. There are plenty of girls not really ugly, who would be happy to meet someone like you!
Good luck in finding the one special person with whom you can share and try not to be insecure about it! There must've been something in your childhood that led you to end up dating women who are dominating!
You deserve to be happy and must take the necessary steps to break the pattern...
Happiness is not outside of us. It is inside of us already. We just need to choose what to do about it and DO IT. That's what is called freedom of choice! And once you decide to be happy; nothing can stop you. We build our own barriers!

u sound kind of like me, i always ended up with the ones that wanted to dominate the relationship. I was too nice,! So, believe it or not,, i put on a thick shield, and reserve me niceness,,, for further into the relationship. Stop being too nice, Gurls dont really like that.... Just try it once , and u will remember me.

when both people care much about each other it is often both ways. the gal is more than willing to please the same as the guy is willing to please. Apparently you haven't found the right kind of gal yet. Of course being dominated isn't normal. You want to find someone interested in the samethings that you are interested in, care about your well being as well as hers. If you don't find the qualities that you are looking for move on as you will be wasting your time.

You have to start looking with different eyes. Seeing not what is on the outside, that comes from the department store and hairdressers. Look with your hearts eyes, but remember that what you see, is what you will get. You will not be changing anyone, to meet your needs, that's why there are so many failed relationships. Don't compare her to anyone, not even yourself. She will either be it or not. Also, look into your 'self' and make sure there is something in there for her to receive.

Don't wear your heart out on your sleeve. Hold back at first. Don't tell her everything on the first date-like your wants and desires. It takes time to build a relationship so don't expect her to live up to your dreams immediately. Time.
