I want to travel around the country for a couple of years, mostly visiting major cities on the East and West coasts. I will be staying in motels with weekly rates. I will need to finance my travel by working as I go. What are the best types of jobs to look for? Cab driving? Dishwasher? I will be looking for work that is easy to get, easy to do, and easy to leave.

Any of the jobs you named are good. Even working with a temp agency that is known everywhere.
How fun. I wish I could do something like that.

As I was and apprentice chef a few years ago, I dealt with a lot of backpackers... They would come and go.. anything from washing dishes to working behind bars
