Go to any sandy beach and go to the waterline when tide goes out, and find the rocky pools for small shellfish. Razor shell fish , can be got by using table salt on their small holes , along the beaches and up they pop, gently take hold till they release their foot. and muscles and limpets off of the rocks, along with any cockles. Most beaches where you have wooden st-aves running down the beaches produces the best cockles and hanging on shellfish. You should have no problem at Whitby or Scarborough.
