My co worker stays on the computer all day at work and answers these questions. and today he has not done controls, like he is suppose to. He use to be a meteroligest and quit his job because he was covering a hurrican and was hit in the head by a pice of tin. since then all he wants to do is play like he is a phycoligist. what should I do should i tell him he is a falkenat or should I make him think he is Dr. Phill?

I have never heard of a falkenat - what is it?

I really don't think you shoud make him feel like Dr. Phil. The dude needs to earn a living and get his JOB done, and maybe you need to just tell him to wake up before he gets fired. And don't do his work for him, either. If he does not come around, you may need to talk to your senior and let him know what's up.

Your co-worker maybe just feels like he is being helpful to others by reaching out and answering their questions. Maybe it's his way of feeling like he is contributing to humanity. It doesn't necessarily mean he expects Oprah to jumpstart him a new career as the next Dr. Phil although I am sure he wouldn't mind making that kind of money...Just leave the guy be and let him feel good about what he's doing...

Well, since your coworker is getting paid like you are and you are doing most of the work, I would probably throw his butt under the bus and turn him into the powers that be. It's only fair. (ask for confidentiality, though)

Tell him to do his job and play Dr. Phil on his own time.

Not your problem Hon. Let him cook his own "goose" if his work is not getting done. It's called stealing company time.

He may need help for mental problems. Is his supervisor aware of what he's doing?

Leave him alone. Let him be what he wants to be.
