To me Matthew 25:40 was such a profound lesson that Jesus taught. It was at that moment I realized that it didn't always have to be about me. It wasn't about letting everybody know what big shot I was. It was quite literally "what you do to the least of these... I would love for you to share your thoughts and and your experiences of both giving and receiving

I believe in doing the random acts of kindness. The next time I'm going thru a toll booth, I'm going to pay for whoever's behind me too. And I smile at mostly everyone, except those with "closed" faces, if there is a food item on the floor in the grocery store, I pick it up, and get items on the top shelf that someone shorter or a lot older than me can't reach. God wants us to do these things, and smiles down upon us when we do.

well, that SEEMS all nice and well until the next verse Mat 25:41:
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels"

and that from the 'turn the other cheek' man. And yes, I believe in random acts of kindness but I don't need someone with a big stick (the threat of going to hell) to enforce them.

The random acts of kindness is a must. Following Jesus is not. Jesus was just a man--he was not G-d. you should follow the One and Only G-d.

Jesus didn't invent kindness. It's practiced in all religions, even the ones older than Christianity, like Buddhism.

I believe in doing charitable acts and acts of kindness wherever and whenever I can I don't believe they should be random. I only believe in practicing the acts of those who have taught me. There is nothing wrong in getting credit for your acts of kindness. No one is injured by it so why shouldn't you get credit. OO

I love to help people. I`m fourteen, and I want to be a doctor; I have for years. Its not for the money at all, I`d want to be a doctor no matter what the pay was. I just want to help people. If I don`t be a doctor, I want to have some career that will help people.

I belive in being kind to people because it is right. NOT because someone (Jesus) told me to. Believe it or not non-christians can be kind too.
