Not only the devil, but also everybody who turns away from his teachings. If he already knows (a big IF) what we are all destined to be, why is all this necessary?

Yeah yeah, we all have "choice"...... but no matter how long and hard we agonize over a decision, an omniscient being would've known all along... and creates each person KNOWING that they'll make "wrong" choices. In the end, if you don't "choose" redemption, this "God" KNEW you wouldn't... and allowed your existence and "fall to Hell" anyway.

I think that everyone has the potential to be a bad person, or even an evil person, and it's the circumstances surrounding them (whether self inflicted or otherwise) and the choices that the person makes lead them to be the person they are ultimately remembered as. So, when god creates the being of a person, he might every single result of a person's life, from mass murderer to god-fearing evangelist to the middle class accountant they'll end up as. Predestination makes absolutely no sense if you study Christianity's principles, and God has to exist in all moments in some other, mindblowing way. As simple human beings, there's no way we can wrap our minds everything that an omnipotent being is, whether we call him God or not.

Besides, if we didn't have an evil to judge by, there would be no good in the world. Think about it. What tells us what is good in the world? The evil. If there was no evil, there all the good would simply be taken for granted.

I believe there are many answers to life's mysteries that we will never know until (and if) we are privileged to eventually meet our Maker. This sure qualifies as one of the top questions many of us (including me) are anxious to hear the answer. I guess in the meantime we can only have faith that there is a reason and try to live our lives as He intended. If we get hung up wondering or worrying about unanswerable questions it will likely distract us from leading our own "good" life. By the way, I'm not a religious fanatic, just a regular guy hoping I'm doing my best (and not always succeeding) in ultimately being rewarded despite my many shortcomings. PS: I don't think there is any harm in praying for those who we consider "evil". Maybe just one extra unexpected prayer will cause someone to turn their life around. HE would probably encourage us to do so. I do.

One cannot be evil unless he breaks a law.

God's children dwelled in His presence with Him before anything physical, like this earth, was made. They were created buy him in a way that is not physical, but spiritual. Does that seem hard to understand?... Ponder this. There is no immaterial matter. Something like a Spirit or Angel cannot be made of nothing. BUT God did create all things to include His children.

AFTER that first pre-physical creation of all God's children (who live with Him pre-mortally), they needed to have laws to obey or break. So God gave them spiritual law. Then they needed the opportunity to make their own decisions and choices, whether to obey or disobey. So, God gave them freedom of choice. Then there needed to be good and bad consequences for good and bad decisions. ...Done

God created His Children, and Loves them- FOREVER. When He did this He saw that they were good, very good. He gave them choices. One of those choices was WHO the savior would be. Before this earth, they all chose Jesus Christ; they agreed to follow Christ plan and his teachings in order to be saved/redeemed/brought back into the presence of God. Others chose Satan, who never will get mortal physical bodies.

Now that men are here on earth, They have a few more laws that pertain to things that are physical. They were also given prophets who learned the gospel by spiritual revelation (to reveal). Those prophets teach men what they agreed to before coming to this earth so that they can know what to do to be redeemed.

FINAL ANSWER: God lets men make their own decisions. Even if He already knows what is likely to happen.

Isaiah 45:6-7:

"...I am the LORD and there is none else. I form the light and create darkness. I make peace an create evil. I the LORD do all these things." (KJV)

Job 9:22-23:

"...[God] destroys both the blameless and the wicked. When a scourge brings sudden death, he mocks the despair of the innocent." (i.e. laughs at the suffering of the victim)

Lamentations 3:37-38:

"Who has commanded and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and evil come?"

God Him/Herself is both good and evil.

The gift of free will and choice will inevitably create chaos between good and evil. I believe that man and woman will make their choices and reap the benefits or pay the consequences - whatever the case may be. The gift of life is meant to be a learning experience. I think God will be pleased by how much we learn and seek the good and truthful path.

Although this question seems deliberately obtuse, here's the only answer I can come up with.

Without shadow, there can be no light.
Without good, there can be no evil.
Without temptation, there can be no free choice.

This is necessary, because we exist.
Without existence, there is no consciousness;
Where there is consciousness, there is chaos...
And, make no mistake, we are chaotic by nature.

Whatever comes, must inevitably go.
Cinders become ashes, and ashes become dust...
We are creators of life, and givers of death.
That is our nature... minds declining forward-thinking.
Destiny is the illusion, and this is only necessary
To please Someone we may never know.

I have learned that we all chose when to come down from heaven and try at life. I'm sure that God knew that some of us wouldn't turn out so well...but he depends on that person's ability to learn, and others ability to teach to hopefully turn them around. When god gave free will...he knew that some would turn away. But if you knew that your child would grow up and try drugs some day (because most kids in the world do now) would you still have kids!? Of course.

You have the wrong god! The God of the Bible--is not the god of destiny. Satan choose his perverted way totally on his own. Please note:

(Isaiah 65:11-12) “11 “But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny. 12 And I will destine YOU men to the sword, and YOU will all of YOU bow down to being slaughtered; for the reason that I called, but YOU did not answer; I spoke, but YOU did not listen; and YOU kept doing what was bad in my eyes, and the thing in which I took no delight YOU chose.””

Note a definition of:

*** rs p. 138 Fate ***

Definition: An inevitable and often adverse outcome. Fatalism is the belief that all events are determined by the divine will or by some force greater than man, that every event must take place as it does because it has been predetermined. Not a Bible word or teaching.
Jesus half-brother James stated it this way:

(James 1:13-15) “13 When under trial, LET NO(my caps) one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.”

The outcome of our choice has nothing to do with destiny, it is indeed how we prefer to feel(attitudes) act, and continue to act.

It is of interest to note that the True God does not plan anything. If you look in the scriptures you will not find a blueprint of any scenario that has to take place because it was drawn up in detail.(except for temple blueprints etc.) The Almighty is the God of Purpose--and that means everything he has done, will do is because of his supreme purpose, a target if you wish--especially an honorable one.

(Ephesians 1:8-11) “8 This he caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and good sense, 9 in that he made known to us the sacred secret of his will. It is according to his good pleasure which he PURPOSED(my cap) in himself 10 for an administration at the full limit of the appointed times, namely, to gather all things together again in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth. [Yes,] in him...

Please note how, just as when God put physical laws and systems in order, this is similar to the overall things he has put together as to man's hopes etc.....
(Isaiah 55:10-11) “10 For just as the pouring rain descends, and the snow, from the heavens and does not return to that place, unless it actually saturates the earth and makes it produce and sprout, and seed is actually given to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it.”

There are seeming things that God has put into action that false religious ideas have tried to twist to the idea, that we are not indeed in charge of ourselves, we are! If we choose to let ourselves be guided by God and his lofty pupose, that is up to us.
