Hi, I'm making donuts. I was wondering can I use Crisco to fry them in?

Absolutely! Crisco is a "baker's shortening", meaning that it is very well refined (which is what you're looking for).

This same characteristic makes it good for chicken too.

Yes. It's perfect to fry donuts in. Vegetable oil would work well also. Whichever you use, just make sure to heat to 375 degrees F.

You most certainly can...while this is the most fat laden way to make them it is probably the tastiest. Oh well... lol
