Long and hard hitting sub? Try the cheese melt at Quiznos or the veggie delight at Sub Way.

Many brands make powerful top-of the line subs, and most of them are actually not to much different in performance.
For example, your favorite MTX brand has the gargantuan MTX Jackhammer, Cervin-Vega has the Stroker Pro, Kicker has the Solo-X, etc.
Most of them has about 5000 Watts power rating, that means a lot of power. And you have to install more than one big mono-block amps to juice it. Most of the cost US$ 1K and up, and each of the power will cost you about the same. Don't forget the cost of upgrading your car's electrical system to supply them with enough power, and upgrade the suspension too, because your system will be very heavy (unless you have suburban or F-series trucks)
Installed properly any one of the subs can hit up to 140dB in your car in "normal tune", and can easily achieve more than 150dB if you tune the box and your car for high SPL competition.

Depends on what YOU want othe peoples opinions shouldn't matter and if you built the box right and do'thave those little tens in it , it should sound pretty damn good. i got one of those 15" 7500 and i move plenty of air, plenty. if you want something diffenert just look around. More money and power is in stre for you but get the basics down right first and you shoudn't have a problem with them not hitting like those subs should.

It's your opinion on which sub hits the loudest and hardest. My philosophy is the box. The more airspace a subwoofer has to move in the better it will sound. So this means the bigger the box the better. I use Diamond Audio.

i have heard MTX 9500`s, Kicker solo x`s, and JL13w7`s and the loudest i thought was the kicker it hit so hard it was making the doors of shops lining the street move but it takes mutiple amps and an upgrade to ur cars electical system to do that, so i would personally go with the MTX 9500 15" becuase you can run it off ur cars existing electrical system and off one amp and with a custom made box it hits extremly hard.

That is like asking who make the highest quality pizza.

RE, FI, Kicker, Rockford, Eclipse, JL, TC, SI, ....they all mkae fine products. Whos is best, none of them and all of them. 99% is in the install. I personally run two Polk SR 12's with 1000wrms and its doesn't hit as hard as some systems with 200wrms because i am after a different sound. Hopefully you get my point.

Subs don't hit. Unless they are topping from the bottom. That's usually the dom's domain.

try a ported box it should make a big difference in SPL...oh and make sure the sub is facing the rear of the car....i really cant explain this...I guess its just how sound works..
