I was in guang Zho, Shen zen and a few other southeastern cities. They were mostly modern, with many tall buildings. ( over twenty stories) Smaller towns had a few hotels that were about 10 stories tall, and the rest about five stories or so. (ZhouHai) I might be misspelling the town names. The bigger cities are quite modern, built around a core of older lower buildings.
