I just wonder if you really would like to know the answer or is this a question just to try to pick at Christians. Anyway, Angels were made before man. The devil, who's name was Lucifer when he was created was an angel. From what I get angels are helpers, they do many things in service. They have free will just as we do, but they were created to serve. How I know they have free will just as we do is that Lucifer was able to choose to go against God and so did a third of the angles, you could not do that if you did not have free will.

First God created Jesus. Then......They probably started with Angels as any job requires man power to get things done.
Jesus was an archangel (over all the others)
With a bit of imagination, and intelligence, you can find it all in your bible.

The wings are probably symbolic as Angels are spirits, as is God.

Angels were created at the same time human souls were created, if not sooner.

Actually sooner, cause when God said "Let us make man in our own image" he was talking to the angels.

But I must tell you in all honesty that God and angels and souls, that is all imaginary. So perhaps you were asking a rhetorical question? Meaning, why do we think he created angels? and do we think they have wings? maybe?

Yes, many things in life are imaginary and rhetorical and allegorical and whimsical and figurative and hypothetical; and that's the beauty of it all. Not everyting has to be real and scientific. If you get my drift.

technology has no evidence that guy got here from monkeys. None what so ever. Evolution is one great huge assumption by guy. guy will do something he can to maintain from having to obey a Holy and Righteous God. God reported in His notice that interior the latter days there could be a great falling away. The devil is doing each thing he can to break the religion of toddler Christians and you're a toddler Christian. you do not additionally be responsive to sufficient relating to the notice of God to stand against people who say that "the bible is written by so talked approximately as pranksters." Why did the Christian God create sin? Yes, people will say it was the Devil, but if God created the Devil, and the Devil was flawed.....

Oh, why did God allow the Holocaust? World War I and II? Why did he allow serial killers? Bad football teams?

But I guess wings are more important.

their ministry is to be before God and worship and serve Him-to rejoice in God's works-to guard believers-to execute God's wrath ( Revelation is full of these duties)-to reign in the affairs of nations-to engage in spiritual conflicts in the heavenlies-to carry believers, at death, into God's presence.

Michael is one of the "chief princes" and reigns over the nation of Israel . Gabriel appears four times and always as a messenger or revealer of the Divine purposes.

I have several scripture references for each of the above and my source is listed below.

You ask this of the Christian G-d----but, it is the same for Jews and Muslims, too.

G-d created the angels to do his bidding, and to worship him. He created them before he created man.

He later created man because he wanted them to worship him because they wanted to worship him, not because they had to-----they had free will. The angels had no free will and had no choice but to worship him.

The Spirits of men who are not dwelling in mortal tabernacles of clay, or rather in physical bodies, are angles. That includes men who have died and have been resurrected, those who have died and are still waiting to be resurrected, and those who have not yet been born to mortality.

The spirits of men are God's children. God's children who are not in mortality are angels. God created angels because they are His children.
