Yup it's normal. All three of my kids did it but luckily when they're around 4-5 they come back to mommy LOL.. thank you wish you could have 5 minutes of peace and quiet again!
Don't worry, he loves you even at this phase.
One thing that always helped me what learning that a mother is the first person a child loves.

Try not to feel too bad I have twin boys and the youngest as attached to his dad and the oldest was attached to me and now the tables have turned. They are 23 months and a day old. Th weird thing is that sometimes, the oldest twin doesn't like for his dad to show me affection, or he'll try to mimic his dad. Nothing adult just like holding my hand or touching my face , arm, leg rings like that.
When it started happening, I kind of looked at it like he's going up and he wanted to be just like dad but it does get to me at times.

completely normal. Called the Electra or Oedipus Complex. Child wants to emulate the same sex for the attention of the parent of the opposite. Don't worry, it happens!

this also happened to my wife,i didnt realy get a look in till she was 18 months i was so chuffed when it happened,it was just that i fed her more,did more with her,understood her more,the mum is the person who does all the hard work i guess she wanted to c who this man in her life is(daddy).it will come back soon just enjoy this experience like my wife did

Totally normal. My daughter is almost 4 and does the same thing with my parents. Enjoy the little "beak"!!
