Hey, i'm a Beauty Therapist and have therefore tried most skin and hair products on the market. To be honest with you, there is no "best shampoo" out there. It's just whatever works for you. I can however, tell you what to look for in a good shampoo/ conditioner.
The thing to beware of is silicone. A lot of manufacturers put this in their shampoos and conditioners because its a quick way to get the hair feeling smooth, shiny and healthy- but it's not!! The silicone just coats the hair, making it appear in better condition, then, as soon as you stop using that product, the hair is once again exposed. There is a company called CETUEM, who specialise in natural skin and hair care, which i tried when i heard Jordan aka: Katie Price also uses it and swears by it. I found the products to be a little strange at first, but after a few washes, my hair felt better than ever!! The ingredients are specially formulated to target the hair itself and help to treat any problems. The company are based in North London, but have a website you can look at too. I'd advise you let them see your hair if you can and they will advise you of the best product for it.

Hope this has been a help, sorry for the essay! - Good Luck!!

I have thick but fine hair and have found that the shampoo doesn't really matter. I also color my hair. You don't want to use anything that clarifies since it is the buildup that seems to keep the hair from flying around. I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle first, let it sit for 3 minutes, then comb it through with my fingers. Then I follow it with another conditioner that is really for further detangling. My favorite second conditioner is Bain de Terre's White Clover. A lot of product but my hair dresser is always amazed the great condition that my hair is in. I get lots of compliments on my shiny soft, non-fly-away hair!

to find the best shampoo for your hair you have to test shampoos, buying the small bottles from boots will let you test without having to buy a big one.
but i recomend (i have fine hair too):
-tresemee healthy volume
-herbal essences i love
also dont use lots of products such as hair spray. instead use somthing such as a heat protector, to use when blow drying, because it will protect your hair (obviously) and also keep it a bit in place. tresemee has a good one, but other brands also do it now.
wel good luck x
