She should be about five months old to have her spayed. Your vet will tell you what the ideal age is. Try to have her spayed before she has her first heat. Some cats can go into heat as early as six months. If she does go into heat before you get her spayed, make sure her heat is finished before sending her in for surgery. The surgery is dangerous to do if she's in the middle of a heat cycle. Ask your vet, he'll be able to explain it better. Remember a spay is a complete hysterectomy. The vet that I worked for would not spay a cat during it's heat because of excess bleeding. Hope this helps.

In the US, you can spay or neuter as early as 6 - 8 weeks old. You DO NOT have to wait until the first heat to get a female spayed. The earlier you have them altered, the better. I had a vet many years ago that would not allow us to spay our female cat before 6 months. She went into heat at 4 1/2 months, made it out a window and came back after two weeks expecting her first litter.
On the other end of the scale, I've had friends that have had cats 5yrs+ altered. As long as they are healthy, it can be done.
We are currently fostering two kittens, and had them altered at 10 weeks. They bounced back quicker than our other cats who were altered at 6 months.

Usually, they can be fixed as early as 5 months. Cats can be fixed right up until old age or sickness kills them, but it's best to get them done as soon as possible.

Most vets require them to be between 4-6 months of age at least.

It depends on where you go. some places require a cat to be 6 weeks old. You could call the vet's office and they would tell you.

A kitten should be spayed before they have their first season, as this dramatically reduces the risk of mammary tumours later on, and to eliminate the risk of her becoming pregnant. Since they can come into season as early as 4 months of age, it really should be done before then. Contrary to popular belief, there is no medical reason not to spay this young.
