Try Beagle Resuce organizations for adoptable pups.

The various rescue orgs charge an adoption fee from around $150 on up. They will do home visits to determine if your home is suitable -fully fenced, and "dog proof" - meaning the breed they work with will not get loose.

Also go to www.petfinders.org for all sorts of adoption resources and shelters near you.

I'm not too sure about the price of adoption, that's something worth googling. However, if I were to wager a guess, I would say that the dog is probably not going to cost as much from a shelter as it would from a breeder. But, you're looking for a purebred so that automatically makes the dog more expensive. In terms of barking: Beagles will bark, but they howl ten times more. This is not a quite breed of dog!

About $50 for the adoption (and you're saving a life). Finding a baby beagle is unlikely, but you can definitely find some adults or mixed breed puppies. And yes, beagles bark and howl.

shelters charge not for the dog per se but the upkeep of the dogs they take in.
The average price is £80-120 depending on the breed and the society, But well done for considering a homeless dog rather than a puppy from a poor quality breeder. All dogs bark and beagles are no different as such they wont bark any more or any less than any other breed, dogs bark as a form of communication, usually they are bored ....the trick is to entertain them .

Shelters charge different adoption fees depending where you live and what the fee covers.

I adopted a miniature pinscher 4 months old from a shelter 2 months ago and the adoption fee was $295, but the fee included her to be spayed, up to date on all her shots & test, a collar/harness, leash, ID tag, a free physical exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. I thought that it was definately worth it.

The best way to see what the adoption fees are for shelters in your area will be to call them or go on to www.petfinder.org and find a beagle in your area and look at the shelter's website. Good Luck.

Go to Petfinder.com Most shelters now charge between $200-$350. Good luck on finding a baby, most people give up adult dogs, and they need homes to. Or you can try a beagle rescue.

animal shelters, depending on location usually run their puppies and dogs from 75 and 100 dollars. nothing really what they would charge at a puppy store or from a breeder.
It depends on what kind of dog it is to say how much it barks, all dogs have different personalities and therefore bark differently.
