The rule of thumb is 1/2 pound per adult, 1/4 pound per child! Here's a recipe even.

BBQ pulled pork
Marinate a roast in Kraft Sweet Onion Vinaigrette for 1 day. BBQ a boneless pork loin roast on all sides until browned. Place on one side of BBQ and turn off the heat on that side (indirect heat). Cook until done (1 hour or so depending on your BBQ). Cool until able to handle comfortably (but not too cold). Pull meat apart with your hands until in smaller pieces. Toss with salt, pepper and a mix of 1/2 honey and 1/2 Bulls eye BBQ sauce (any flavor). Great on buns!
Oh and pork is not dirty and perfectly fine to eat on occasion, especially for a BBQ!

Depending on your eaters appetite I would say 3/4 lb per person which would come to 4 1/2 lbs. Make it 5 lbs and look forward to some leftovers.

I'd go for 5 lbs. You won't run out and there is nothing better than leftover pork bbq.

that depends on the 6 and how many buns they are likely to consume.

1/2 lb per sandwich is the normal guideline...you might want more if you have big eaters!

You should not eat pork. It is not good for you. The meat is dirty, and I heard it makes you sick. Try barbecue beef instead.
