Naturally she won't wanna go to puppy "jail" so you should try to make it feel more like home for her. Put a comfy little blanket in there with a toy or two and a few treats. She should have no problems then.

You PUT her in it. End of story.
Most people I know who did crate training had to do this the first few times. They said that after a bit, the dog learns that this is a safe place and isn't bothered by it so much.
I don't know anyone who puts treats in a crate. At some point it will be "jail". It will be a place you put her when she needs to calm down. Shouldn't need to give her treats for going into it especially if she learns to like it. If you give her treats now, she may never go in unless you put treats in it and I don't think that's what you're going for.

What is the situation in which you are attempting to crate her?
I've alway found that if the puppy has not been crated from an early age, its easiest to start crate training at night.

Whatever you do, NEVER under and circumstances, punish the puppy by putting her in there, b/c then she will never go in. Try just leaving the door open, put her food and water in there, and if the crate is big enough add a little doggy bed. Make it her home, she will warm up to it. Throw one of her fav. toys in it too. Good luck

try treats and a favorite toy, when she approaches her crate, even if she doesnt go in tell her shes a good dog...everytime she goes NEAR her crate, tell her shes a good dog. Don't ever PUT your dog in the crate as someone suggested, they should never be forced into it, or they will never see it as their safe place.

Nikkie d is right, never use the crate for punishment cause your dog will learn to hate it. All my dogs go in when i say "in". The way I got to get them to do this is with pieces of hot dog. When you want your dog to go in put the hot dog in front of the dogs nose and lure him/her in while saying "in" or "kennel up" (or whatever you prefer).once in give them the lil piece of hot dog.The first few times you might have to pull her in by the color or push him in on the butt. Once he gets this down hold of on the treat until you get the door latched. eventually you can lay off of the treat but its still a good idea to use it sometimes so the dog don't relapse. Even when your using a treat don't forget to use alot of verbal praise such as "good dog"
