Schottenheimer is not found in Swyrich.com, but it is found in the LDS Family Search site. Here are 5 entries from Germany.

Gerrman, I believe:

"I remember clashing in the past in an edit war regarding to the Marty Schottenheimer article, he referred to himself as an "old German" once and he's from Pennsylvania, which makes him a German-American."

Schottenheimer sounds German, by all means.
it is the name of a place: Schottenheim,
and Schottenheimer means a person deriving from there.
