Does shower gel lose its effectiveness and cleaning power after being stored for a few years? I didn't see any expiration date.

If it doesn't have an expiration date, then it's still good. It may not lather as well as it did when it was first bought, but it should still work. If it smells weird, the colors change, the chemicals start to seperate, or the texture of it gets weird, then toss it.

I don't think it does. I've had shower gel that long to and its fine.

Nope. I still have some from my last birthday and it's just fine.
