Why do they say that saf-t-pops are safe? How are they more safe than regular suckers?

the sticks are a circle/oval and both ends are secured inside of the sucker making it safer than one that has a stick out of the end. the saf-t-pop has less chance of causing harm to an eye if thrown at someone.

If your child were running across the kitchen with a sucker in her mouth, wouldn't you rather it be a soft little circle handle than a hard straight stick? If it's a regular stick sucker,it's more likely that it can go down their throat if they trip and fall,or run into something.

The fact that it has a loop rather than a stick makes it less likely that a young child will accidentally choke on it; you can more easily lose your grip on the lollipop if you're only holding on to a stick - as opposed to a loop around which your finger(s) are curled.
