I don't think they sell muscle relaxer's over the counter all because of the fact that most muscle relaxer's contain a narcotic to help your muscles relax. Try a heating pad.

Start with good nutrition - bananas have the potassium and magnesium mix that is a mild way to avoid cramps anywhere in the body. Faster but higher in sugar is molasses (used in cooking and gingerbread cookies), one swig helps in minutes. Valerian root found in the health-food store is another but it makes many people not able to concentrate. Realize that once you get into prescriptions you are masking problems that will get worse if not healed.

You can try Aleve, which is Naproxen Sodium. Try soaking in epsom salts as well.
