i know it says it supports like only 2005 or something like that, but i really want it. anyway to get around it?

Well what's the error that it says, or the problem that you are having, that is perventing you from acquiring windows media player 11? Because really the age of the computer really has nothing to do with it, it's mostly the operating system, and what your computer is packing (the hardware of it). So you might not have the required video card or you may just be trying to download it wrong *shrugs*.

If you have a Microsoft Win XP sevice pack 2 PC or Media center PC, WMP 11 will work. If you don't you have it, use the older version.

I would suggest downloading LimeWire. LimeWire is a program that will let you download any type of music or program that you want. When you use LimeWire, it should ask you if you want to download Windows Media Player, or just use the LimeWire to download it from there.

you need to download SP2 (service pack 2) you can go to www.microsoft.com and click download center. it's on the home page for download center
